An established and highly respected building services contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Contracts Manager to join its growing team. With a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical projects across some of London's most prestigious commercial, heritage, education and public sector buildings, the business prides itself on quality, collaboration and long-term client relationships. The company self-delivers a broad range of M&E services, refurbishment and maintenance projects across the capital.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple M&E projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager looking to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of London-based work.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage multiple mechanical and electrical projects simultaneously.
- Lead Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Monitor commercial performance alongside the commercial team.
- Attend client meetings and site progress meetings.
- Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed throughout project delivery.
- Identify and manage project risks and resolve issues proactively.
- Support project planning, programming and resource allocation.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Proven experience as an M&E Contracts Manager within the building services industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations.
- Experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out or maintenance projects.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage project budgets.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Salary up to 75,000.
