About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, adaptable, and proactive Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team. This is a dynamic position suited for someone eager to learn and excel within a fast-paced, pressurized environment while working on a range of exciting projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the senior commercial team in managing commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare, process, and manage project cost controls, valuations, and variation accounts.
- Conduct site visits and work closely with site-based teams to monitor project progress and financial status.
- Assist in procurement, including subcontractor pricing, evaluation, and management.
- Utilize advanced Excel and computer skills to manage cost reports, spreadsheets, and commercial software.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team while demonstrating the independence to manage individual tasks effectively.
Candidate Criteria & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
- Knowledge: Preferably hold some Mechanical or Electrical (M&E) knowledge or relevant project experience.
- Site Experience: Hands-on experience working directly on construction sites.
- Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Work Ethic: Willingness to learn, take initiative, and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously while seamlessly collaborating within a wider project team.
