We are seeking an ambitious and driven Electrical Project Manager to join a growing team delivering projects across Colchester and the surrounding areas. This is a site-based role, with each project having a dedicated on-site office, allowing you to be fully involved in the day-to-day running of the project. This position is ideally suited to a Site Manager looking to step up into Project Management or a Junior/Assistant Project Manager ready to take on more responsibility. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Be site-based, overseeing daily operations from the on-site project office
- Coordinate labour, materials, and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, and resource allocation
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety regulations
- Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates
- Support with procurement and cost control where required
- Maintain high standards of quality and compliance throughout project lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS
- Background in electrical installations within construction
- Previous experience as a Site Manager, Supervisor, or Junior Project Manager
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ambition to progress into / further develop within Project Management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Relevant electrical qualifications
DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL)
- Previous experience managing projects
- SMSTS (or willingness to obtain)
- Exposure to renewable energy projects would be beneficial
