Qatar Airways is excited to welcome a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to our UK & Ireland team. Based in Central London, this is a high-impact role supporting our Commercial, Technical, Cargo and Ground Services divisions across the UK and Ireland.
As a trusted advisor, you’ll work closely with senior leaders to drive our people strategy, deliver exceptional HR support, and champion a culture of performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders across functions to provide expert guidance on HR policy, employment law, and best practices.
- Coach and support managers on all aspects of HR — from performance and absence management to disciplinary processes and employee relations.
- Own the HR lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution of key HR processes, documentation, and approvals from onboarding to offboarding.
- Lead change initiatives, contributing to transformational projects and organizational development efforts.
- Deliver training & development sessions, empowering managers with essential leadership and HR skills.
- Act as a subject matter expert on local employment law for the UK and Ireland.
- Leverage data and insights to support smart, commercial HR decision-making.
- Mentor and develop junior HR team members to build future capability.

You Will Have
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role within a fast-paced, matrixed organization
- Minimum of four years’ HR related job experience which will include a minimum of two years in an HR management role.
- Deep knowledge of UK employment legislation (Ireland is a bonus)
- Skilled in managing ER cases, performance issues, and policy implementation
- Strong communication, coaching, and analytical skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for people
- A recognised accreditation in HR is preferred but not essential.
You must have the current legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for this opportunity.
