About The Role

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and driving Qantas' regional marketing. This is a cross‑functional, hands‑on role where you'll work closely with stakeholder groups internally and externally to drive a consistent approach to how we market Qantas across the region.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and execute B2C and B2B marketing plans for the region, navigating and collaborating with complex stakeholders sets to achieve business wide alignment.
  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of integrated campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels, with accountability for creative direction, media planning, and overall campaign performance.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with tourism bodies, airports, and airline partners, identifying opportunities to extend Qantas' reach and brand presence across the region.
  • Brief, manage, and evaluate both creative and media partners (internal and external agencies), ensuring output is on brand, on brief, and on budget.
  • Own the marketing budget, including investment allocation, tracking spends and reporting on financial performance.
  • Set the measurement framework for regional marketing activity, using performance data and commercial insight to drive continuous improvement and strong ROI.
  • Work across regional, commercial, and head office teams to align marketing activity with broader business priorities, influencing strategy and ensuring a consistent approach to market.
  • Define the customer engagement and events strategy for the region, overseeing end‑to‑end execution and ensuring activity reflects the Qantas brand.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least six years’ experience in marketing, commercial strategy, or go‑to‑market leadership within a matrixed organisation.
  • Proven ability to drive large‑scale marketing plans that deliver both brand uplift and significant revenue contribution.
  • Skilled at managing multiple complex projects with competing priorities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial stewardship skills, including budget ownership.
  • Fluency in paid and owned media strategies, planning, and execution.
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation, KPI tracking, and performance optimisation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams, including remote teams across different time zones.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Aviation and travel industry experience highly regarded; French or Italian language skills advantageous.
