The Role

Are you a high-energy, charismatic tech and manufacturing evangelist who thrives on the thrill of the hunt? We are looking for an enthusiastic Solution Consultant to join our New Business Sales team. In this role, you will be the bridge between complex business challenges and our high-performance solutions. You will partner closely with Account Executives to win new logos, acting as the primary product and industry expert throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Discovery: Conduct high-impact, interactive client discovery sessions to uncover deep business pain points, strategic goals, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Functional Fit Qualification: Actively participate in the qualification process, analysing prospect requirements to ensure our Adaptive ERP and complementary solutions are the perfect engine for their needs.
  • Deliver Outcome-Driven Presentations: Design, build, and deliver compelling software demonstrations and executive presentations focused on tangible business outcomes.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the sales team to build customised win strategies, craft RFP/RFI responses, and navigate complex technical evaluations.
  • Be the Expert: Maintain a premier level of knowledge regarding QAD’s suite of solutions, manufacturing industry trends, and the competitive grid.

Qualifications

What You Bring (Core Requirements)

  • Experience: Five+ years within a sales environment selling ERP.
  • Contagious Energy: Demonstrated ability to maintain high morale and activity levels during long-tail deals.
  • Pre-Sales Experience: A proven track record in a customer-facing Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales role within the enterprise software (SaaS) space.
  • Manufacturing/Supply Chain Acumen: A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and quality management principles.
  • Problem-Solving DNA: The ability to think on your feet, translate technical jargon into business value, and adapt quickly during live demonstrations.
  • Modern Skills: Experience with Generative AI in the workplace to make tasks efficient.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and one or more of German, French or Dutch.

Selected candidate must live/work in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany or Spain.

  • APICS Certifications: CPIM/CSCP
  • Competitor Insight: Hands-on experience or deep competitive knowledge of alternative ERP products.
  • Next-Gen Tech Fluency: Familiarity with Generative AI applications.
  • Cloud Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of AWS infrastructure and modern cloud deployment methodologies.
  • Advanced Education: An MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Information Systems.

Ability to Travel

Flexible hours that may vary day to day, based on customer needs and milestones. Up to 25% travel for customer visits, industry conferences, QAD meetings and occasional international travel.
