About the role
We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join their growing team. Working in a fast‑paced environment the successful candidate will provide excellent technical support to all colleagues across the business. The role will be based at their head office in Thornliebank, Glasgow. The successful candidate will report to the IT Infrastructure Lead and be responsible for supporting first line technical issues and identifying areas for continuous improvement. Alongside this, you'll be working with QA to complete your apprenticeship in Digital Technologies - IT Support SCQF 8.
Responsibilities
- 1st line IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems
- Installation work including PC, printers, switches and software deployments
- Respond to and triage incoming calls and emails
- Clear documentation in the helpdesk system of all tasks carried out
- Communication with users as required, keeping them informed of ticket progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
- Work closely with other team members to ensure effective communication
- Escalate helpdesk cases that require engineer level support
- Understand and adhere to service processes
Who we're looking for
We are seeking a motivated individual who is well organised and able to manage a varied workload, working with multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent technical knowledge, a proactive hands‑on approach to problem solving, plus the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure. Experience of working within a similar environment would be beneficial however, training will be provided.

Salary: £18,564 per annum
Working hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8:30am - 4pm
