Responsibilities:

  • Support team coordination: Help ensure smooth communication and collaboration within cross-functional teams (developers, artists, designers, QA, product owners).
  • Track progress & identify blockers: Assist in monitoring project progress, identifying potential roadblocks, and raising concerns to senior team members.
  • Maintain documentation: Support the creation and maintenance of project-related documentation (e.g., Jira boards, Confluence pages).
  • Risk & issue assistance: Help identify and track project risks and issues, escalating as needed.
  • Communication & reporting: Support internal communication efforts, helping to prepare status updates and reports for stakeholders.
  • Tooling: Get familiar with and utilize project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Learn & grow: Actively seek feedback, participate in training sessions, and be eager to expand your knowledge of project management best practices, game development pipelines, and software development lifecycles (SDLC).

Required skills:

  • Passion: A demonstrable, deep interest in the software development or gaming industry. This could be through personal projects, game jams, modding, active participation in online communities, or academic studies.
  • Understanding of Agile: A foundational understanding (even theoretical from coursework or research) of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You can articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Organizational skills: Strong organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Problem-solving mindset: A proactive and analytical approach to identifying and solving problems, even when faced with ambiguity.
  • Collaboration & teamwork: A genuine desire to work within a dynamic, collaborative team environment.
  • Proactivity & eagerness to learn: A self-starter with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. Curiosity is key!
  • Tech savvy: Comfortable with modern software tools and quick to pick up new technologies.

Entry requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A Levels/BTEC etc.)?
  • OR equivalent work experience (typically 2 years in a relevant role)?

AND

  • 5 x GCSE’s including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.

Working hours:

9am – 5.30pm.
