About The Role

Customer Relationship Manager

Join a business selling into one of the biggest priorities facing organisations today

AI, technology and digital capability are changing how organisations operate, compete, and grow. But transformation only works if businesses have the people and skills to deliver it.

That is where QA comes in.

QA is the UK’s largest technology training provider, working with 96% of the FTSE and most Fortune 500 companies to help organisations build the AI, technology, digital and human skills they need for the future.

In the last three years alone, QA has supported 4,000+ organisations and more than one million learners. And as businesses continue to invest in AI, data, cloud, cyber security and digital transformation, the need to develop those skills is only becoming more important.

That creates a significant opportunity for experienced salespeople who know how to grow customer relationships and turn business challenges into commercial opportunities.

Where you come in

As a Customer Relationship Manager, you’ll take ownership of developing and growing relationships across an established portfolio of customers and partners.

Your job is to understand what is happening inside your customers’ organisations, identify where skills, capability or workforce challenges exist, and turn those conversations into opportunities for QA.

You’ll build relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers, develop a strong understanding of each organisation and identify where QA can support their wider business priorities.

This is more than maintaining accounts.

You’ll be expected to spot opportunities, challenge customers where appropriate, open new conversations and grow QA’s footprint across the organisations you work with.

You’ll be taking solutions to market in areas businesses are already actively investing in, including:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Data
  • Cloud
  • Cyber Security
  • Digital Transformation
  • Technology skills
  • Apprenticeships and workforce development

It is still a target‑driven B2B sales role. You will be responsible for generating revenue, developing pipelines, progressing opportunities, and consistently delivering against your goals.

But you’ll be doing that with established customer relationships, a highly relevant proposition, a recognised brand and access to some of the largest organisations in the UK and globally.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll take ownership of developing commercially valuable relationships across your customer portfolio by:

  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers
  • Understanding customer priorities and identifying where QA can add value
  • Creating new revenue opportunities across existing customers and partners
  • Leading consultative conversations to uncover skills, capability and workforce needs
  • Growing relationships across wider stakeholder groups and identifying opportunities across QA’s portfolio
  • Building and managing account plans, pipeline and opportunities through to close
  • Preparing proposals and customer solutions that respond to identified needs
  • Delivering against clear sales targets while building long‑term commercial relationships

The strongest CRMs do more than manage existing relationships. They understand their customers, ask the right questions, spot opportunities, and consistently find new ways to add value.

A market with genuine momentum

The skills agenda has moved significantly. AI adoption, digital transformation, and emerging technology are creating new capability gaps across almost every industry.

Organisations need to understand how they prepare their people for that change, how they develop new skills internally, and how they create sustainable talent pipelines.

QA helps them do that.

As a CRM, that gives you the opportunity to have broader and more strategic conversations with customers you already know.

Rather than selling a single solution, you’ll be looking across the wider organisation, understanding where priorities are changing, and identifying where QA’s broader portfolio can support them.

And with QA already supporting some of the world’s largest organisations, you’ll have a strong platform from which to grow those relationships.

We'll invest in your development too

QA is a learning business, so development is not just something we sell to customers.

You’ll have access to:

  • Ongoing coaching and mentoring from experienced sales leaders
  • QA‑authored technology and business learning
  • Dedicated development days
  • Exposure to emerging areas including AI, data, cloud and cyber
  • Opportunities to deepen your consultative and strategic selling capability
  • Further learning opportunities including Degree and Master's programmes

You’ll be expected to bring commercial drive, curiosity, and ownership. QA will give you the environment, expertise, and tools to keep developing.

Who tends to do well here?

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Commercially driven and motivated by achieving targets
  • Confident managing and growing B2B customer relationships
  • Comfortable speaking with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers
  • Curious about how organisations operate and where opportunities exist
  • Strong at asking questions and uncovering customer needs
  • Able to build credibility and develop relationships at multiple levels
  • Proactive in creating opportunities rather than waiting for them
  • Comfortable managing a pipeline and progressing multiple opportunities
  • Resilient, organised and accountable for their own performance
  • Able to balance strong customer relationships with clear commercial outcomes
  • Keen to develop their knowledge of technology, skills and workforce challenges

You’ll already have experience in B2B sales, account management, business development, or another consultative commercial environment.

You should be able to demonstrate a track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer relationships.

You do not need to arrive knowing every QA solution.

What matters is that you understand how to sell consultatively, can build credible relationships with customers, and know how to turn those relationships into sustainable commercial growth.

The opportunity

If you enjoy developing customer relationships, uncovering opportunities, and growing accounts, this is an opportunity to do that in a market with significant momentum.

You’ll have access to an established customer base, a broad portfolio of solutions and conversations that increasingly sit at the heart of organisations’ workforce and transformation priorities.

You’ll be joining a team where performance matters, development is taken seriously, and you’ll have real ownership of growing the customers you work with.
