We’ve made significant investments in technology to support the business, and we’re now looking to expand our IT team by welcoming a motivated IT Support Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT. You’ll receive hands-on training and mentoring in a live business environment, while also studying towards a recognised industry qualification.

Overview: This role is offered as part of the Azure Cloud Support Specialist Level 3 apprenticeship. As part of the programme, you will:

  • Follow a structured training plan over 12–18 months.
  • Dedicate 20% of your working hours to study and training.
  • Learn how to support and manage cloud services such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Gain knowledge of IT systems, networks, cyber security, and service management.
  • Complete a formal End-Point Assessment (EPA) upon completion.
  • Achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 ICT qualification.
  • Have the opportunity to gain industry certifications, such as Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).

Responsibilities: As an IT Support Apprentice, you’ll work closely with our experienced IT team and develop practical skills in:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for internal IT queries.
  • Logging and managing support requests through our helpdesk system.
  • Setting up new users and devices, including laptops, phones, and software.
  • Supporting our Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including user management, storage, and virtual machines.
  • Assisting with day-to-day troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Maintaining high standards of cyber security and data protection.
  • Working with third-party IT providers to help resolve technical problems.
  • Gaining experience with systems specific to the legal sector.
  • Developing your communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Genuinely interested in IT, technology, and cloud computing.
  • Eager to learn and develop their skills in a real-world environment.
  • A good communicator who enjoys helping others.
  • Organised and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
  • Committed to completing the apprenticeship and progressing in their career.
  • Has a full UK driving licence and access to a car (desirable but not essential).

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject.
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
  • If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week.
