Parkwood Holdings is a leading provider of support services to both public and private sector clients across the UK. We have over 5,000 employees operating from more than 170 offices nationwide. The IT department, based at the Chorley head office, provides vital IT support to the entire group.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our IT team as an IT Support Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience and develop technical skills in a professional environment.
You’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues requiring technical support—whether via phone, helpdesk, or in person. You’ll assist with setting up and maintaining IT equipment, resolving hardware and software issues, and supporting various IT systems across the company. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring all IT processes are documented and follow company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Responding to technical issues and delivering excellent customer service.
- Installing, configuring, and repairing IT equipment (PCs, laptops, mobile devices, VoIP phones, printers, etc).
- Performing maintenance and repairs on hardware.
- Supporting and troubleshooting software including Windows 11, Chrome OS, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and company-specific applications.

Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject.
- You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
- If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm with 30 minute lunch break.
