Overview:We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT environment, supporting users with their technical issues and learning from experienced professionals.You will be the first point of contact for technical support. You'll learn how to troubleshoot hardware and software problems, log incidents, and escalate issues when necessary. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will work towards a nationally recognized qualification and develop key skills to launch your career in IT support.Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and users via phone, email, or in person.
  • Log, track, and resolve IT service requests and incidents using the service desk system.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues with guidance from senior team members.
  • Assist with setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and user accounts.
  • Help maintain accurate IT documentation and inventory records.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support team as needed.
  • Learn and follow IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities as part of your apprenticeship.

  • A keen interest in IT and technology.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems (desirable but not essential).

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5:30pm.
