Employer description: ISS specialises in helping small and medium size businesses master their IT in the Southeast of England. Founded in 1992 and based at our purpose-built premises in Cranleigh, our customers can call on our helpdesk engineers to solve any IT problems. Whether a seasoned IT professional or a total novice, we help guide our customers through the minefield of new technology, advising on kit that actually makes a difference to their business.
Responsibilities:
- Log incidents and faults, categorising them
- Managing incidents and requests through the service management tool
- Provide support for a wide range and constantly evolving applications, software & hardware
- Follow standard operating procedures of the company
- Maintaining governance standards across all IT service management processes
- Liaise with management to communicate and understand issues and be able to effectively coordinate how to resolve an issue
- Identify repeat issues or service risks to management team
- Manage scheduled tasks for customers
Desirable skills:
- A good understanding and hands on experience of Microsoft 365 and Windows
- Great communications skills both verbal and written
- Good and efficient problem solving, with a focus on quick fixes
- Able to follow processes and procedures
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast moving and dynamic business
- The ability to work at both our office in Cranleigh (3 days) and at home (2 days)
Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
- You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
- If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
Working hours: 9am - 5.30pm
