Established in the year 2000, Westdale has evolved from its humble beginnings as a small rendering company in Doncaster into a nationally recognised, award-winning Solid Wall Insulation contractor.
To support the digitisation and smooth day-to-day IT operations of the business by assisting with user onboarding, system support, and documentation. The role will help ensure continuity across IT functions, assist staff in adopting digital tools and processes, and provide technical support for servers, networks, and infrastructure when needed. Working closely with the Digital Systems Lead, the apprentice will also contribute to maintaining file structures, supporting report building, delivering training, and handling routine IT tasks such as setting up devices and troubleshooting user issues.
Responsibilities:- Day-to-day IT operations: IT onboarding of new staff (devices, accounts, permissions, basic training), support users when systems or hardware go down (image stamping, PDF processing etc.), maintain file structure, access rights, and resolve small issues quickly.
- Support system adoption: Help staff use tools like Nextcloud, Power BI, ODK forms, act as another in office support for IT issues.
- Documentation and continuity: Help document processes I’ve built, assist with planning and continuity in case of absence or future transition.
- Training support: Join in developing and delivering IT/systems training, support new starters or those struggling with digital systems.
- Admin and technical tasks: Assist with SSRS report building (a great place to learn SQL), help clean up and structure server directories and permissions.

- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject.
- You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
- If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
