CCL (North) Ltd. is one of the UK’s leading specialists for IT asset disposal and WEEE recycling. From our 25,000sq ft facility in Irvine, we provide secure, environmentally safe and compliant recycling services to a broad range of business sectors.
Our Managing Director Bruce McLean has worked at the forefront of electronic recycling for decades and has been with CCL since it was established in the year 2000. Bruce and our team have grown CCL into an industry-leading computer recycling business that cares for its staff, customers, local community and the global environment.
Overview:
CCL North are currently recruiting for IT Apprentices for their branch in Irvine. The ideal candidate will have strong attention for detail, good organisation skills with an enthusiastic approach to work and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- First response to tickets being raised, tickets will be requests to erase data from computers. This will be done using Certus software which you will become a system expert on.
- Booking goods and tracking stock using Microsoft 365 – Excel.
- Preparing and refurbishing computers to be sold on. Erasing data, wiping computer software, taking machine back to factory settings and installing new operating systems.
- Uploading refurbished products and the picture and description of product on to the CCL e-commerce site.
- Recording and reporting information such as items to be recycled and stock using Excel and Sharepoint, collaborating with other departments who will access this information.
- Dismantling computers and other electrical items such as tablets, mobile phones and televisions/monitors. Separating their parts safely for recycling.

Salary: £15,000 per annum
Working hours: 34.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, Friday 8:30am - 2:00pm.
