Purpose of the role

The Junior Data Analyst is responsible for providing valuable business insight through the analysis of complex datasets and the creation and maintenance of reports. The role works closely with departments across the business to answer queries from managers and supervisors, supporting informed decision-making and continuous business improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Create reporting packages and data models using Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI to generate meaningful insights from raw data.
  • Develop dashboards and visual reports to improve understanding of business performance and operational processes.
  • Maintain, enhance and streamline existing reporting packages.
  • Liaise with department managers and supervisors to understand reporting requirements and provide analytical insights.
  • Present findings, trends and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Cleanse and validate data to ensure reporting accuracy and efficient processes.
