We are currently seeking a new apprentice in our Elgin office to provide digital support.

What will you be doing?

  • Utilise BigHand digital dictation software to efficiently record, edit, and submit voice files for transcription, enabling streamlined documentation and improved workflow management.
  • Be a key user and provide support to newcomers on the system.
  • Worksite to save relevant emails within the set folder structures for each framework and create new folders as required.
  • Manage bank transfers (faster payment/Telex/Overseas/Funds Expected into Bank) via 3E.
  • Assist with client and matter opening.
  • Collaborate with partners in relation to the opening of new files and/or receipt of new instructions for a new file via MS Outlook, Teams and in person.
  • Set up MS Teams calls for clients and partners.
  • Draft documents via MS Word and assist with mandates.
  • Manage the reception on an ad-hoc basis which will require keeping a log of visitors to the firm.

What qualities should you have?

  • Administration experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when working with data.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to use initiative and to work both independently and as part of a team.

Salary £22,932 per annum.

Working week 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Future prospects

Should you perform well in this role, there is an opportunity for you to take up a permanent position at the end of your qualification. Many of our previous apprentices are still with the company. Your future salary will be discussed should you be offered a permanent role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
