Overview: As an IT Apprentice you will learn and apply technical skills to service end-user IT requests. You will work in a global network environment, gaining knowledge of our IT solutions and completing any required coursework exams.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support by answering calls, logging incidents, and routing tickets to appropriate support teams.
- Install, maintain, and provide technical support for end-user client devices, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Create, update, and manage service tickets in line with company processes and service-level expectations.
- Work towards troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues on your own initiative.
- Escalate complex problems to second, third-line support and/or management when required.
- Collaborate closely with peers, colleagues, and the wider IT team to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
- Deliver remote support to internal personnel, vessels, business units, and global site locations.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring and support of the Global Marine estate, contributing to the smooth operation of worldwide marine IT infrastructure.
- Take part in team building exercises when required.

Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject.
- You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance, you could still be considered for the programme.
- If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
Working hours: 37 hours per week. 5 days per week in office, with Fridays at home once probation has been passed.
