The Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting day-to-day telecom operations, ensuring smooth coordination between suppliers, engineers, customers, and internal support teams.
Responsibilities:- Onboarding new customers, gathering information on customer requirements, planning and booking installations.
- Manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Handle broadband orders (SoGEA, FTTP, leased lines), track supplier tickets, and chase updates including civil works.
- Liaise with engineering, support and accounts teams to ensure smooth installations and service transitions.
- Ensure customers are fully set up prior to installation, including adding numbers to platforms and confirming service readiness.
- Provide customers with regular updates on porting dates, broadband installation/survey progress, cease completion, and settlements.
- Submitting number ports, monitoring progress, updating customers, and liaising with suppliers.
- Chase suppliers for updates on ports, broadband orders, civil work, and open tickets.
- Ensure all equipment is ordered and ready for installation.
