The organisation specialises in designing and implementing solutions for public sector institutions, including Education, Healthcare and Local Government, supporting the delivery of key public services.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a person wishing to work towards becoming a qualified ICT Technician on a site with a state of the art ICT infrastructure. The role involves learning to provide 1st Line hardware and software support, call logging services, asset management, general ICT administration (under supervision), and other ICT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first line technical support, troubleshooting, and remote monitoring services to customers and schools.
- Log, manage, and resolve incidents through the Service Management System, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Act as a key point of contact between customers, internal teams, and third-party suppliers.
- Monitor support queues, elevate issues where required, and manage asset and change control activities.
- Support project work and assist with additional duties requested by the Network Manager.
- Complete training programmes and maintain compliance with Health & Safety, ISO, and company policies.
- Maintain a professional, organised, and customer-focused working environment.
Training will be delivered remotely one day per week. Remote training can be undertaken at home or at the workplace, to be discussed during the interview and placement process.

Qualifications requirements
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
- Non-standard entry with work experience
- Relevant qualifications and/or work experience will be considered for applicants with potential to benefit from the programme.
- You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
- If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
Additional Information
The role requires an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, including the Children’s Barred List, to be undertaken on an annual basis. The position will involve the lifting of IT equipment and assisting with the positioning of these products across multiple buildings.
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm
