Our success relies on strong digital systems and responsive IT support — and we are looking for a motivated ICT apprentice to help manage and enhance our technology across the business.
As an IT Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of BuildStore IT department. Working closely with the IT Manager, you will gain hands-on experience maintaining systems, resolving technical issues, and supporting ongoing IT projects.
- Provide first-line technical support to internal users across the business.
- Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network devices.
- Support the management of servers, cloud systems, and user access controls.
- Monitor and maintain IT systems performance, backups, and security.
- Log and document IT issues, resolutions, and system updates.
- Support IT improvement projects and technology rollouts.
- Help enforce data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
A genuine passion for technology and IT problem-solving is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows systems is preferred.
Working hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 9am - 4:30pm, Friday 9am - 1pm. Hybrid working (office Monday to Thursday, home on Fridays).
Mentorship and hands-on experience with a professional IT team. Free on-site parking and accessible public transport links.
