BEAR Scotland is a leading road maintenance and management service provider in Scotland, maintaining and improving Scottish Trunk Roads including bridges and structures through some of the most scenic, but challenging, parts of the country. We rely on strong digital systems to support our teams — from office staff to engineers working on site. We’re now looking to bring in a motivated IT Apprentice to join our team in our Queensferry office and build a career in IT Support while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and maintaining user accounts and access permissions
  • Installing, configuring, and updating hardware & software
  • Troubleshooting user issues supporting laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Learning the basics of networking and IT security
  • Helping roll out new IT systems and updates across the company
  • Providing excellent customer service to colleagues at all levels
  • Documenting solutions and maintaining IT records

You don’t need previous IT work experience – we’ll provide the full training. We’re more interested in your attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn.

Desirable skills:

  • Hold (or be working towards) National 5’s / Highers, ideally including Computing, Business or Maths
  • Have a strong interest in technology and problem-solving
  • Be organised and able to manage your time effectively
  • Enjoy helping people and communicating clearly

Salary: £15,500 per annum.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday

This vocational apprenticeship comprehensively supports your specific job role with this particular employer.
