About Certum
Certum Limited are looking for an apprentice to join their rapidly expanding team. They are a Managed Service Provider based in Glasgow, providing IT support to a wide range of different customers throughout different vertical markets within Scotland and the UK. They mainly work with the Microsoft stack. This is a great opportunity to join an IT Support team.
About the role
You will work within a hybrid role and gain exposure to different elements of the company, from being field based and working within the helpdesk support team. Your main role will be within the field which means that you will require a full UK driving licence. In this role you will be learning and growing your IT knowledge and experience rapidly in conjunction with the IT apprenticeship course work. If you have a highly driven attitude this will kick start your IT career!
Responsibilities
- Main aspect of the role will be within the field supporting clients with all tech and IT requirements
- Providing technical support for incoming queries relating to software, hardware and networking remotely and on-site
- Recording all communication and undertaking in our ticketing system, making sure all of your tickets are fully up to date with relevant notes
- Updating our centralised documentation platform to reflect any changes to customers networks or services
- Answering customer phone calls and logging support tickets into our helpdesk platform
- Responding to all tickets and incidents within the agreed SLAs
- Picking up and managing your own ticket/workload
- Building PCs, laptops and other end user hardware
- Updating and maintaining client and internal documentation
What we are looking for
- Must hold a full UK driving licence - this is crucial as the role is field based
- Basic understanding of technology/business technology
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good customer service skills
- Strong organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
Salary
£16,000 per annum
Working week
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm
