Job Description
Steder Group is on the lookout for a motivated apprentice to join their Inverurie team. The business has been an avid supporter of supporting apprentices to join and progress within the company.

They are a well-known, dynamic logistics service provider. Steder Group has been operating in logistic services worldwide for over 40 years, Steder can transport anything; from sea freight, air freight, container transport and bulk transport to special transport. They cover the UK, Europe and beyond.

You will be responsible for:
\\n
- \\n
- Becoming an expert user in Descartes system (logistics and supply chain management software), SoftPak (finance software) and MS365 to contribute to freight forwarding, logistics and supplier management processes
- Assisting in the end-to-end process of freight forwarding including managing the shared client enquiries mailbox, supporting deliveries through customs to Steder Group’s customer
- You will become part of small but dynamic team to work together collaboratively using MS teams with the wider company and trusted suppliers
- You will be trained to manage supplier bookings at origin (i.e. Shanghai) all the way through to the delivery of goods after customs clearance to final invoice and filing via Softpak
- Liaising with overseas agents to arrange consignment collections using the Descartes system using air, ocean or rail freight
- Involved in the full import process inclusive of tariff numbers for products, duty rates and taxes inclusive of how VAT is processed on all Imports using Descartes system software
- Assisting with managing reports via MS Excel and completing any other tasks assigned
- Carry out Quality ISO processes in conjunction with our Quality Management Department via our ISO9001 process
