QA Higher Education is looking for a Senior Academic Administrator to join our Registry team on a 14‑month fixed‑term basis, covering maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for an organised, detail‑focused administrator who enjoys working with data, deadlines and people in a purpose‑driven education environment.

About the role

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring our academic services run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll support key academic processes such as Examination Boards and mitigating circumstances, while acting as a trusted point of contact for students and partner institutions. You’ll collaborate with academic colleagues, registry teams and external partners — keeping records accurate, processes compliant and deadlines on track.

  • Providing efficient, accurate administrative support across academic programmes
  • Supporting the preparation and smooth running of Examination Boards
  • Maintaining module and assessment marks, as well as progressing outcomes within the student record system
  • Supporting wider Registry activities when required
  • Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external university partners

About you

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working behind the scenes to make things run seamlessly.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong record‑keeping skills
  • Great time management, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills
  • Confidence working with data and maintaining tidy, accurate records
  • Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Experience working in an education or academic environment (desirable, not essential)
  • Familiarity with databases, CRM systems, or student record systems such as Salesforce
