We are seeking flexible and committed lecturers to join our teaching team on a Sessional Contract basis. If you have experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, or both, and enjoy working with a diverse, international student cohort, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role:

As a Lecturer in Biology and/or Chemistry, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across our Applied Science, Nursing, and SGU Medical programmes. You will support students at foundation level, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed for academic success and progression into their undergraduate degree.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Teaching Biology and/or Chemistry modules as required.
  • Preparing lesson plans, delivering classes, and assessing student work.
  • Providing academic support and feedback to students.
  • Working closely with programme leads to ensure a consistent and positive learning experience.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience teaching Biology and/or Chemistry, ideally within schools, FE colleges, or higher education.
  • Ability to adapt teaching for international student needs.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to student development.
  • Flexibility to teach on a zero-hours basis, depending on programme needs.
