At QA Higher Education, we’re looking for a Psychology Lab Technician to help deliver high-quality learning experiences and maintain outstanding research environments across our Psychology programmes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set up and maintain lab equipment to support experiments, teaching sessions and student projects.
- Assist students, academics, and researchers with running psychological experiments and collecting accurate data.
- Manage and process research data, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Support health, safety, and ethical compliance across all lab-based activity.
- Collaborate with academics and research teams to ensure labs are organised, well-resourced, and functioning effectively.
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in Psychology from a BPS-accredited university (essential).
- In-depth understanding of quantitative and qualitative techniques and research in Psychology.
- Experience using psychology research equipment, such as EEG, eye-tracking or physiological monitoring tools (desirable).
- Familiarity with data analysis software such as SPSS, MATLAB, R, Gorilla, Qualtrics, NVivo or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to support students and researchers.
- A willingness to maintain safe, ethical and inclusive lab environments.
