We’re looking for a Study Skills Lecturer to join our Academic Community of Excellence (ACE) team and empower students to excel in their studies. Students may access the ACE team for additional academic advice beyond their timetabled lectures. Participation is entirely voluntary and designed to enhance academic, maths, data analysis and study skills. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deliver engaging tutorials and workshops (face‑to‑face and online) in study skills, and digital literacy.
  • Guide learners individually and in groups, helping them build confidence and achieve academic success.
  • Create innovative learning resources for our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the student journey and promote ACE across QAHE events.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievement.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience delivering one‑to‑one and group tutorials/workshops both face‑to‑face and online.
  • Strong digital skills and IT competence (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, video conferencing tools).
  • Knowledge of the challenges faced by widening participation students.
  • Relevant teaching qualification or HEA fellowship (or commitment to achieve).
