Location: Hybrid (London or Cheltenham) with travel to QA sites when required.

Your Role

Working with QA's key clients in the government and defence section you will be responsible for ensuring that your projects achieve their objectives within agreed timescales and budget, while consistently meeting quality standards. Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to undergo and obtain the appropriate level of security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Successful delivery of medium to large complex learning and engagement programmes.
  • Scope objectives, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, assumptions, risks and quality acceptance criteria in collaboration with client stakeholders and consultants/SMEs.
  • Create and maintain project tools/documents, including project plan, RAID log and RACI.
  • Support programme-specific resourcing by defining content expertise and managing a briefing process.
  • Manage operational risk within sensible parameters, escalating risks and issues as necessary and organising and running SteerCo meetings when risks are many or high.
  • Manage a complex network of client stakeholders, internal and external resources, and external suppliers across project workstreams.
  • Track and manage project budget within agreed parameters, applying project tolerances when needed.
  • Provide ongoing direction, support and motivation to the project team to deliver consistent quality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Fully familiar with the project lifecycle and methodologies, holding an industry-recognised qualification or certification such as PRINCE2 or APMG PMQ.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing complex projects for a variety of clients, with proven ability to produce and manage project tools and documentation.
  • Experience working in both agile and classic waterfall project environments.
  • Experience with complex scheduling of project resources.
  • Experience effectively managing or mitigating risks.
  • Strong communication skills on complex issues at stakeholder levels, including C-suite.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders to drive successful change.
  • Willingness to travel for client or internal meetings.
  • Willingness to undergo security clearance for government programmes.
