Marketing Apprentice in Southend-on-Sea

You will support the marketing team with day-to-day tasks, campaign execution, and administrative duties, while learning core marketing principles including digital marketing, content creation, and brand communications.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Apprentice to join our marketing team at Toomey Motor Group. This role is ideal for someone at the start of their marketing career who is keen to learn, develop practical skills, and gain hands‑on experience across a range of marketing activities while completing a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the creation of marketing campaigns, including social media, email, and digital content.
• Conducting market research and competitor analysis to support marketing strategies.
• Helping to manage social media channels by scheduling posts and engaging with followers.
• Creating and editing content such as blog posts, graphics, and promotional materials.
• Supporting the team with website updates and SEO optimisation.
• Analysing campaign performance and preparing reports.
• Assisting with administrative tasks related to marketing projects.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is a plus.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Creative and eager to learn.
• Enthusiastic about marketing and digital trends.
• Proactive and able to take initiative.
• Good attention to detail.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A‑C) in any subject.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
• Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject.

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
