The Data and Operations Apprentice will support Principal People's day-to-day operations through a combination of administrative and marketing responsibilities. This dual-focused role is designed to provide exposure to both the operational and promotional aspects of the business. The apprentice will assist with essential administrative functions, contribute to internal efficiency, and support marketing activities to promote the Principal People brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update internal databases with accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collect, organise, and cleanse data to ensure high data quality across systems.
  • Assist with recruitment administration, including formatting candidate CVs, posting job advertisements on external job boards and internal platforms.
  • Assist with updates to the company website, including adding new job postings and blog content.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials using basic graphic design tools (training and support provided).
  • Assist in planning and promoting CSR activities and charity initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure marketing aligns with wider business objectives.
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering and transferring calls, booking staff accommodation and travel, ordering office supplies, and managing inventory.

  • Familiarity with Canva or other design tools (training will be provided).

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (C) or above in any subject.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D) or above.
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience demonstrating the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In such cases, you could still be considered.
  • If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, you must provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to UK standards.

Working hours: 37 hours per week.
