Role Brief
Purpose of the role:lead the thought leadership, methodologies, and delivery of Q5's Talent Advisory offer, working closely with the Organisation Development & Culture team. The role holder will be a key contributor to Q5's overall organisation development proposition and in addition to the core area of talent transformation will enjoy being involved in shaping, selling and delivering leadership and team development, culture, and capability development consultancy services. Scope of Talent Advisory offer:

Balance of activities: 60-70% client delivery; 30-40% product and business development There are three core focus areas for this role:
- Practice Development (incl. thought leadership and innovation)

Practice Development
- Define and drive Q5's Talent Advisory strategy, aligning with key market trends and client needs to create a scalable, differentiated offering for talent transformation consulting.
- Develop a compelling thought leadership perspective, articulating Q5's unique approach to talent strategy, integrating the latest innovations in behavioural science, AI and digital tooling, and enterprise transformation.
- Evolve Q5's Leadership Assessment proposition, leveraging best-in-class psychometrics, delivery methods (including assessors and technology), and administrative approaches to strengthen our client's organizational performance
- Establish and manage a robust ecosystem of strategic partners (e.g., experts in talent technology, leadership assessment) to enhance Q5's capabilities and create differentiated propositions.
- Act as a visible industry thought leader, representing Q5 in external forums, conferences, and publications to enhance credibility and market presence.
- Mentor and support a team of Q5ers to achieve the set priorities, ensuring clear accountabilities and progress tracking
Business Development
- Develop and execute a business development strategy for Q5's talent transformation practice, identifying target markets, key client segments, and revenue opportunities to build on Q5's successful track record
- Lead the creation of compelling proposals and calls for tender, translating customer needs into compelling and practical solutions aligned with business goals and organisational context.
- Build and nurture senior client relationships, positioning Q5 as a trusted, long-term strategic partner in elevating organizational performance.
- Collaborate with Q5 sector leads and offering leads to identify new client opportunities and expand existing accounts by talent solutions into broader business solutions.
- Actively engage in industry networks, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives to elevate Q5's market presence and credibility in talent transformation.
Project/Client Account Leadership and Delivery
- Partner with boards and executive leaders to sustainably strengthen organisational performance and prepare their people for the future
- Lead the design and delivery of high-quality consulting engagements, ensuring they drive measurable impact, and align with business objectives. Projects may involve working with clients to:
- Evolve identification, visibility and movement of talent
- Re-imagine performance management processes, succession planning, approaches to mobility, and development of talent to ensure the right people in the right roles
- Implement data-driven talent management approaches
- Design integrated processes and data approaches across development, performance management, and succession management pillars
- Re-imagine employee experience and employee value propositions
- Redesign and implement leadership assessment approaches
- Establish and grow recurring account revenue.
- Mentor, coach, and lead project teams, setting clear objectives, roles, and responsibilities while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Support their professional development, performance, and well-being.
- Leverage data-driven insights and client feedback to assess and enhance the effectiveness of Q5 talent projects, continuously refining the offering and demonstrating measurable ROI.
- Ensure operational and commercial excellence in project execution, optimizing resource allocation, managing timelines and budgets, and proactively mitigating risks.
- Input into the evolution of Q5's talent transformation and leadership development offerings, capturing key insights from client engagements to enhance methodologies, frameworks, and tools.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in talent advisory or people experience consulting.
- Leadership experience within a management consultancy firm
- Proven expertise in delivering talent advisory services across full employee life-cycle
- Expert understanding of leadership assessment tools, psychometrics, simulations for assessment and digital talent management platforms.
- Strategic and innovative mindset, with the ability to integrate research, behavioural science, and technology into consulting methodologies.
- Strong business acumen, including experience in business development, client engagement, and commercial growth within professional services or consulting.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Data-driven approach, using analytics to measure program effectiveness, track ROI, and drive continuous improvement.
- A degree in Organizational Psychology, Business, HR, or a related field, with additional certifications in executive coaching or leadership development preferred.
- Relevant certifications in executive coaching (e.g., ICF ACC+, EMCC).
- Significant experience leading projects and teams in a consulting environment or substantial industry experience in a leadership capacity.
