Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers as part of the Trim and Final assembly area providing guidance, support and mentorship.
- Develop & implement department strategy for power tooling like DC tools, Oil pulse tools, working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes for Trim And Final Assembly, ensuring quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules are met.
- Excellent knowledge about Four Wheeler Trim and Final assembly and Vehicle Testing processes.
- Good knowledge about machine installations and commissioning based on various phases and requirements.
- Cost effective solutions on Poka Yoke.
- Good knowledge about layout preparations, TAKT Time calculations, Throughput time, cycle time & line balancing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality to optimize product design for manufacturability and resolve any manufacturing issues.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses & capacity planning to support new product introductions & process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety & regulatory standards, identifying & mitigating potential risks in the manufacturing process.
- Evaluate and select equipment, tools, and technologies to optimize production capabilities and improve overall efficiency.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and collaboration within the manufacturing engineering team.
- Support the launches of Four Wheeler assembly, providing relevant process, tooling, and facilities.
- Good knowledge about Capex planning and utilization.
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience:
- Proven experience in the four wheeler assembly industry facility planning with a focus on Trim and Final assembly.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in utilizing Autocad/Catia/Pro E software and manufacturing tools.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards in the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement mindset.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
