Lead Engineer - Seat Belts and Safety Components Gaydon, UK (4 days onsite in a week)
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Hard Skills: Previous experience of managing change and leading the resolution of business, technical and process issues within an engineering project team environment. Experience in end-to-end development of commodities in an automotive programme. Engineering related Degree or relevant equivalent experience. Working knowledge of safety system development including airbag and/or seat belt dynamic performance, manufacturing processes, related standards and test procedures and vehicle safety attribute delivery, including testing.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and proactively, taking full ownership and responsibility for own work. You see things at a team rather than individual level, considering the wider Chapter needs. Strong people skills, including ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels.
- Hard Skills: Previous experience of managing commodity suppliers and/or external agencies. Knowledge of vehicle level safety requirements. Previous experience in Safety Components, Restraint Electronics or Vehicle Safety roles.
