A fantastic opportunity for an experienced asset management sales individual to join a highly entrepreneurial asset manager.
The Role
The Strategic Partnerships Team sits within the Sales & Marketing Team and works closely with the wider team. The Strategic Partnerships Team holds responsibility for central relationships between the business and its key clients. This includes national advice firms, financial advice networks, industry bodies and compliance service providers.
The team is responsible for generating new commercial opportunities for the business, in the form of product panel positions, lead generation through events and corporate partnerships. This is a national role involving regular UK travel to attend meetings and support or present at events.
The Head of Strategic Partnerships will bear responsibility for the success of the division. They will build the team’s objectives and oversee the roll out of the strategy to reach these goals.
Primary Job Functions
- Deliver against quarterly sales targets and agreed Key Performance Indicators.
- Build and roll out Strategic Partnerships strategy, seeking input from key internal stakeholders where necessary.
- Ongoing account management responsibility for key clients, ensuring both panel positions and relationships are maintained to a high standard.
- Drive the Strategic Partnership opportunities to help enable the BDM team to exceed sales targets for tax efficient investments.
- Position both yourself and the company as a trusted business partner for existing and new clients.
- Build annual budget proposal for Strategic Partnerships events and marketing activity. Seek to negotiate costs, where possible, and ensure all spend is effective through utilising available MI to demonstrate ROI.
- Day-to-day line management responsibility for Strategic Partnership Team – currently an SP Manager, with approval for recruitment of an SP Executive.
- Hold ultimate responsibility for all ongoing due diligence requirements with key accounts, utilising other key stakeholders, such as Business Line Directors, where necessary.
- Work with key partners to agree and coordinate all activity, ensuring the successful execution of all commitments.
- Work collaboratively with the sales team to ensure all Strategic Partnerships opportunities can be maximised.
- Take overall responsibility for building and delivering presentation decks for webinars and live events.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing team in the development of new presentation content, emails, and collateral.
- Maintain MI using Salesforce and other data sources to ensure oversight of fundraising and to monitor progress with key accounts, projects, and sales initiatives.
- Work closely with the Head of Internal Sales to ensure all event leads are followed up effectively and in a timely manner.
Secondary Job Functions
- Work with BDM Team to maximise the effectiveness of each strategic partnership.
- Attend and support adviser, industry and partner conferences and other events.
- Ensure a good flow of relevant information to/from the BDM Team.
- Remain abreast of industry news, utilising knowledge to develop relationships with new clients.
- Encourage and collate feedback from our selected partners and cascade this feedback to the relevant individuals.
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business and its tax efficient investment suite.
- Generate reports for internal use, as appropriate.
Skills / Knowledge
- Knowledge and/or experience of tax efficient services
- Hold or working towards industry specific exams
- Proven track record in developing relationships within the adviser market, ideally at a senior level
- Leadership experience would be very beneficial
- Experience selling an investment solution to the IFA channel
