About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to build and refine a newly created role, working closely with senior management and business teams to foster a culture of continual improvement and customer-first outcomes.
The primary focus of the Business Partner role is to build relationships with the business to become a trusted advisor, influence, and overcome challenges. Candidates must have a broking background with strong commercial and operational experience, including:
- Business Support and Advisory
- Delegated Authority and Risk Management
- Conflicts of Interest
- Lloyds Experience
- Compliance Policy and Process Knowledge
- Acquisition and Integration Support
- Migration / Integration Due Diligence
Qualifications that are strongly desirable include relevant professional certifications.
Key Duties
- Business Support & Advisory: Act as the initial point of contact for compliance advice, supporting teams with practical, business-friendly compliance solutions.
- Risk & Delegated Authority Management: Review and monitor Delegated Authority Agreements, advise on potential E&O circumstances, and conduct root cause analysis.
- Compliance Policies & Procedures: Maintain and enhance compliance policies, ensuring alignment with FCA requirements.
- Training & Development: Design and deliver onboarding, refresher, and regulatory training for staff at all levels.
- Acquisition & Integration: Support acquired firms through compliance migrations, addressing due diligence findings, and embedding the compliance culture.
Requirements
- Experience in insurance broking or operational roles.
- Strong understanding of FCA requirements, ICOBS, and SMCR regulations.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills to assess complex regulatory requirements and translate them into business strategies.
- Knowledge of Lloyds processes and requirements is a distinct advantage.
- Holding or working towards CII or ICA accreditation (or equivalent) is beneficial.
