POSITION SNAPSHOT Job title: Supply Operations Manager Location: Manchester Contract type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract The Role As a Supply Operations Manager, you’ll be the driving force ensuring a seamless, efficient flow of materials and stock from suppliers to our Africa business units. You’ll manage supplier relationships, oversee logistics, and ensure compliance with shipping and trade finance requirements. Acting as a central hub between our global procurement teams and external partners, you’ll help power our operations by ensuring orders are delivered On Time, In Full, and In Quality. This is an exciting, fast-paced role where your attention to detail, passion for operational excellence, and communication skills will make a real impact. Accountabilities Lead the end-to-end supply planning, movement, and management of orders to meet service demands from internal and external customers. Manage purchasing, freight, and logistics activities to ensure accurate and efficient material supply. Prepare and run monthly supply chain KPIs, providing insights and driving improvements. Act as the operational lead for trade finance activities, including the issuing and management of Letters of Credit and Bills of Collection in compliance with UCP600 and Incoterms 2020. Ensure all documentation aligns with LC/Bank requirements, supporting fast and accurate transactions. Liaise closely with suppliers, banks, freight providers, and internal finance teams to facilitate smooth payment releases and vendor financing arrangements. Collaborate with Strategic Freight teams and local customs authorities to guarantee compliance with freight rates and shipping document standards. Continuously seek opportunities to drive process improvements across the supply chain, enhancing service levels and operational efficiencies. Key Skills & Qualifications Experience in supply chain, procurement operations, or supply planning, preferably in an international environment. Strong expertise in managing export shipping documents, logistics processes, and supply operations. Solid understanding of Letters of Credit, trade finance, bank document requirements, and Incoterms. Proven ability to solve problems creatively and work collaboratively across multicultural, cross-functional teams. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP (preferred). Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Please note that we are not able to offer visa sponsorship or assist with relocation support for this role.
