Insight Work
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilising the path to purchase as a framework for all insight work ensuring that all insight is grounded and explained in this context
- Scoping and running projects across multiple methodologies to deliver actionable insight at the relevant point in the Path to Purchase
- Proactive use of insight to influence the business priorities and growth
- Proactively scoping how to fill gaps in understanding or improve existing understanding along the Path to Purchase
- Use of appropriate solutions to improve time to insight delivery by thinking tech first and unlocking deeper understanding
- Be the objective voice of the Consumer and Shopper always
- Deliver deeper understanding of Markets, Consumers and Shoppers in the UK
Partner Management
- Delivery of projects using outside agencies whilst looking to deliver the greatest value for money by challenging orthodoxies and approaches
- Creation of long-term plans with the vendors to deliver efficiency and high ROI
- Creation of guide rails for self-serve models alongside partners to ensure consistent methodologies.
Influencing Business Approach
- Ability to shape marketing and R&D programmes via insight led activities
- Leading on methodology approach, consistency and evolution of approach in the UK
- Influencing the Group approach
Leadership
- Ability to motivate and lead a team in market
- Ability to lead in cross functional teams
- Be the trusted adviser for the UK team on what insight means and how it can shape the business approach
Criteria/Competencies
CPG Experience
- Working within a fast-paced CPG environment that covers Grocery, Specialists and Online
- Working alongside Marketing, R&D and Cat Man to deliver innovation across product and marketing comms
- Working with marketing leading brands to enable growth from a leadership position as well as challenger brands

- Working in times of transition and demonstration of change management
- Team player and delivery of aligned goals across functions
- Empathetic approach to understanding diverse business questions
- Challenging and objective, using data to validate business orthodoxies
Communication Skills
- Ability to simplify complex data sources into clear story telling – creating insight not data

- Ability to present insight 1:1 as well as in group settings
Methodology approach
- Use of mixed methodologies to drive the best outcomes for insight derivation
- Understanding of the latest tech platforms and their application to the Uk Business
- Identification of solutions to data gaps
