We're recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced Division IT Manager to lead a significant IT transformation programme across a complex international business. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the IT strategy across multiple global locations. Operating within a matrix environment, you'll lead a combination of internal IT resources, regional teams, and external technology partners to create a scalable, secure, and data-driven IT function that supports future growth. The role sits at the centre of several key business initiatives, including ERP modernisation, data platform development, infrastructure transformation, cyber security enhancement, and global operating model standardisation. This opportunity would suit an experienced IT leader who enjoys driving change, building high-performing teams, and delivering transformation within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the divisional IT strategy, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives
  • Lead the ongoing modernisation and standardisation of ERP systems across multiple sites
  • Establish governance frameworks across data, applications, infrastructure, and cyber security
  • Build and maintain a scalable global IT operating model across internal teams and external partners
  • Drive data strategy initiatives, including reporting standardisation, data governance, and business intelligence capabilities
  • Lead infrastructure and cyber security improvement programmes across multiple international locations
  • Manage and optimise relationships with managed service providers and external technology partners
  • Own IT budget planning, vendor management, and investment prioritisation
  • Implement structured reporting, performance measurement, and project governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across operations, supply chain, finance, and manufacturing functions

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience leading IT functions within a complex manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment
  • Strong experience delivering ERP transformation and standardisation programmes
  • Demonstrable success leading global or multi-site IT operations
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, reporting frameworks, business intelligence, and data governance
  • Experience managing infrastructure, cyber security, cloud migration, and MSP relationships
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation
  • Proven ability to drive transformation, simplification, and operational excellence
  • Experience managing distributed teams and matrix reporting structures
  • Commercially aware with strong governance and decision-making capabilities

Experience with ERP modernisation programmes, cloud transformation, and data-driven business initiatives would be highly advantageous.
