About the Role:

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Roof Truss Design Specialist to join their team of industry experts. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for design and technical support who is looking to progress their career within a dynamic, multinational organisation.

As a Roof Truss Design Specialist, you will provide best-in-class technical and design support to customers, focusing on software and connector product ranges. This role is ideal for a self-starter who is eager to make a significant impact and develop into a leading subject matter expert within the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional technical and design support to customers through the technical helpdesk.
  • Undertake roof, floor, wall designs, and remedial works based on customer specifications and requirements.
  • Create bespoke designs tailored to customer needs and specifications.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to offer solutions to complex design, engineering, and software queries for both customers and internal colleagues.
  • Capture and retain knowledge from senior subject matter experts to build a pipeline of future in-house expertise.
  • Contribute to engineering discussions among Technical, R&D, and Software Development teams.
  • Identify customer support trends and collaborate with the Technical Team to enhance the technical service offering.
  • Review internal and customer software releases, providing feedback to the Software Development team as needed.
  • Contribute to and maintain content on the technical portal.
  • Support the onboarding of new customers by guiding them through the transition to our software and metalwork products, providing exemplary technical and design support.

Candidate Profile:

  • Positive problem-solving mindset with a strong customer-centric approach.
  • Confident communicator with a strong aptitude for learning.
  • Experience in reading architectural and engineering plans and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software.
  • Experience with floor, truss, or timber frame drafting and design software is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
