About the Role:
We’re recruiting for a Senior Office Administrator to join a well-established construction/contractor business. This is a key support role within the organisation, responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of office operations while providing wider support across sales, operations and leadership teams. This position would suit a highly organised and proactive individual who takes ownership of their responsibilities and is confident managing a varied workload. Acting as the central point of contact within the office, you’ll play a vital role in keeping processes running efficiently and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Administration & Operations
- Manage day-to-day office administration and operational support
- Process orders and maintain accurate records and documentation
- Coordinate travel arrangements including flights, hotels and train bookings
- Take minutes during meetings and ensure actions are followed up
- Provide general administrative support across the business as required
- Complete basic bookkeeping tasks and data entry using QuickBooks
- Maintain accurate records, trackers and reports
- Support the business with effective document control and data management
- Support sales meetings through preparation, administration and follow-up
- Assist with data mining and research to support lead generation activity
- Prepare reports, presentations and sales documentation as required
- Create and maintain spreadsheets using Excel
- Produce professional documents using Word
- Support marketing and internal materials using Adobe and Canva
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in a senior administrative, office support or operations role
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, Word, QuickBooks, Adobe and Canva
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities
- Confident supporting sales activity and working across multiple teams
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience within construction or a contractor environment is highly desirable
- Some understanding of HR processes or an HR-related qualification would be advantageous
