We’re recruiting for a Paralegal / Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established and high-performing conveyancing team within a leading UK law firm. This role offers the opportunity to work in a structured and supportive environment, playing a key part in progressing residential property transactions from instruction through to post‑completion. You’ll work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression while delivering a high standard of client service. Key Responsibilities
- Support the progression of residential sales and purchase transactions.
- Handle key conveyancing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the case management system.
- Keep daily task reports updated and ensure cases are progressing efficiently.
- Manage post‑completion work and ensure documentation is completed correctly.
- Maintain organised file management, including file closures.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Respond to client queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with work providers.
Process & Compliance
- Ensure transactions follow best practice and internal processes.
- Support compliance requirements across all stages of the conveyancing lifecycle.
General Support Duties
- Draft non‑technical correspondence where required.
- Assist with general office administration, including post handling and documentation.
- Collaborate with wider teams including new business and accounts.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal or Assistant.
- Strong understanding of the full conveyancing lifecycle, including post‑completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- IT literate, with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and case management systems.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
