We’re recruiting for a Restaurant and Bar Manager to join a high-end, modern dining restaurant located in one of Birmingham’s most prestigious destinations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader to take full ownership of day-to-day operations, team performance, and the overall guest experience. You will play a key role in maintaining exceptional standards while driving the commercial success and reputation of the restaurant. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
- Maintain high standards across food quality, service delivery, cleanliness, and overall hospitality.
- Oversee stock control, supplier relationships, and ordering processes.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, licensing, and health & safety regulations.
- Manage and develop the full restaurant team including supervisors, servers, bartenders, and chefs.
- Recruit, train, coach, and mentor team members to support performance and development.
- Foster a positive, professional, and guest-focused culture.
- Lead from the front on the restaurant floor, setting the standard for service excellence.
Performance & Commercial Management
- Monitor business performance including sales, labour costs, stock control, and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Manage guest feedback effectively, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain and enhance the restaurant’s reputation through exceptional service and operational standards.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant and Bar Manager within a premium or fine dining environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of restaurant and bar operations.
- Good financial awareness, including labour cost control, stock management, and sales performance.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a busy, fast-paced environment.
