Our client is a well-established business with a great brand name, they have several sites and now require a warehouse manager to take overall responsibility for their Castleford warehouse operation that covers 3 shifts. This role is day shift and is Monday to Friday. The essential focus is space management and planning which is essential to support the rest of the overall business function and day to day activity and productivity.
Role & Responsibilities
- Management of Goods in and Goods Out
- Lead and manage teams to deliver the warehousing operational activities which support the effective running of the business as a whole and provide a warehousing and distribution service.
- Management of Inventory
- Ensure the picking and packing and orders meet the dates required by customers.
- To manage the day-to-day warehousing operations and delivery of KPIs within defined operational processes and procedures.
- Ensure exceptional customer service to customers, suppliers and to internal customers/suppliers.
- Reprocessing of goods to meet customers’ needs or to recycle returned products.
- Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Document paperwork, delivery notes and export documentation.
- Ensure dispatch is labelled, packaged and palletised.
- Work within current budgets to increase and improve efficiency.
- Monitor quality and performance control.
- Identify workload issues and resolve.
