Pyramid8 are recruiting a large housing provider for a Visiting Officer to cover the Wakefield area. They support over 15,000 customers to enjoy independence in their own home through Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services. They provide a range of discreet sensors, home visiting and a 24-hour responder service, in a range of packages to suit personal needs and budget.

In this role you will be the company’s representative in the community providing a responsive, efficient and effective service to older and vulnerable people to enable them to live independently and safely in the community. As part of the role, you will connect older and vulnerable people to the service providing demonstrations and installations in their homes.

You will:

  • arrange all visits and demonstrate community alarm, pendant and telecare equipment to prospective customers in their own home;
  • carry out an assessment of need and identify the most suitable type of alarm required and correct location;
  • install community alarms, pendant and telecare equipment in the customer’s home, demonstrate use of the system.

To join the team, we’re looking for someone with:

  • experience of working with older or vulnerable people;
  • self-motivation and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively;
  • a flexible approach to working; and a valid UK driving licence and will be able to drive a company vehicle as well as having daily access to their own vehicle in order to travel throughout the district as required by the business;
  • knowledge and understanding of technology (IT & Telecoms).

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a fast-paced and growing organisation who care about the people they support. The role is a 6 month temporary contract however for the right person this role could go permanent and can also open up lots of other opportunities in the organisation.
