Pyramid8 Recruitment are recruiting for a full-time permanent Trainee Transport Planner for our client based in Snaith. Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm Salary £20K – £22K As a Trainee Transport planner, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the planning team. Planning and Routing * Check for customs clearance on destin8 and assist customer services with booking in as and when needed * Check samsara for – drivers on time – if running late communicate to customer services * Check samsara for – drivers are following correct route – off route establish why and report to tm if necessary to take driver to task * Check samsara for – additional breaks over and above regulations * Check samsara for – weekly spread over of 15 hrs is not exceeded and a 15-hr spread over is saved till friday to ensure driver can get home to base * Available for driver’s out of normal business hours calls Planning Administration * Sending drivers job instructions * Completing job files with times/weights/temps – ensure all additional cost items are recorded onto the job file to ensure no misunderstanding with accounts dept * Sending all lift and clean requests * Sending of depot lift and storage requests * Sending of steam sheets * Entering new job file/details onto plan sheets…
