An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This vacancy has become available due to an internal promotion, reflecting the company’s commitment to developing and progressing its employees. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency. This is a predominantly mechanical role (around 90%), so we’re looking for someone with a strong mechanical engineering background. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is highly desirable, along with a basic understanding of fault finding on control systems. You’ll be involved in maintaining and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment, ensuring the site continues to operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Service, maintain and overhaul machinery
  • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement and maintenance systems
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with Health, Safety
