Our client is a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects for a wide range of blue-chip and commercial clients across the UK.
Due to continued growth and ongoing repeat business, they are looking to recruit an experienced Civils Estimator to join their expanding team.
Working closely with the Director and Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for civil engineering and groundworks projects ranging from £25,000 to £1.5 million.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and groundworks projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Complete quantity take-offs and pricing schedules.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare and submit competitive tenders within deadlines.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
- Manage multiple tenders while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support successful project handovers to the operational teams.
About You
You'll have
- Previous estimating experience within civil engineering and groundworks.
- A sound understanding of earthworks, drainage, roads and sewers, reinforced concrete, foundations and external works.
- Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
