Pyramid8 are working with an interesting business based in Normanton for an experienced and hands-on Head of HR to lead and shape our people strategy in a growing, close-knit organisation. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we attract, develop and retain exceptional people while fostering a positive, high-performance culture.

About the Role

This is a strategic yet highly practical role within a business of around 70-80 full-time employees. You will be responsible for setting direction while also being actively involved in day-to-day HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall people strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Advise and support the Leadership Team on all HR and people-related matters
  • Take ownership of recruitment strategy and delivery across the business
  • Manage and maintain the company organisational structure and org chart
  • Develop, implement and oversee all HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with employment law and HR best practice
  • Drive team member wellbeing, engagement and performance initiatives
  • Support and guide managers on employee relations matters
  • Assist with payroll processes (desirable but not essential)

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in a smaller business environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Passionate about people, culture and organisational development
  • CIPD qualification (desirable)
