An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor to join our client's growing legal practice. A well-established firm of solicitors with a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and quality of service, at the heart of their community, who recognise that people are their greatest asset and strive continuously to develop staff and support their career progression.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of criminal law with proven experience in defending individuals accused of criminal conduct.
Responsibilities include:- Advising clients on their legal rights in criminal matters, explaining the legal process to them clearly
- Preparing and presenting robust legal defences for clients in court proceedings
- Analysing case material and law to determine the best course of action
- Conducting legal research and gathering evidence
- Building relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates on their case
- Negotiating settlements where appropriate
